Ethics Every provincial and territorial engineering licensing body has adopted a brief but important document called a Code of Ethics. Spelling out the engineer's obligation to society and to their fellow engineers, the Code helps to guide engineers throughout their careers by explaining what behaviour is expected of them, and what behaviour could lead to a complaint, an investigation or even some form of punishment.
